Comfort
People used to live in comfort. They just can’t live without comfortable

It goes especially about Americans. They seem to be on a never-ending quest
for more and more comfort.
Addiction
People need to feed their addiction to fast food, caffeine, gambling,
alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and so on. The addictions can be of 2 types –
physical and psychological
The effect is the same – a compulsion to get more. That is why fast food
companies the tobacco and alcohol companies, the casinos are earning
billions of dollars.
Laziness
People are lazy. They want to get best result in shortest possible time
